Sharing a survey with a custom link
Besides the standard survey link you can share, if you want to customise the link, there are two options: Change the slug, and change the domain.
Change the slug of the survey link
Survey → Options→ Advanced Settings → Change your form slug
The part that is changeable is the “slug” (http://fdier.co/ {slug}).
Change the domain of the survey link
Survey → Options→ Advanced Settings → Custom domain
Alternativately, you can change the entire domain. eg: https://feedback.yourdomain.com
On your DNS manager, create a new CNAME record from your custom domain to –> http://feedier.linj.clearalias.com/
It should update in minutes, if it does not. after 6-12 hours, please contact us.
Example of adding a domain
Follow these steps:
Name/Host/Alias: your subdomain, for example for feedback.yourdomain.com your subdomain is feedback
TTL: 3600
Record Type: CNAME
Value/Answer/Destination: feedier.linj.clearalias.com
With the above configuration, https://feedback.yourdomain.com will point to the survey, with no trailing path after the .com.
Using the same (sub)domain for several Feedback surveys
If you want to use the same subdomain for several surveys, eg. feedback.mycompany.com/form-1, feedback.mycompany.com/form-2, feedback.mycompany.com/form-3, it’s also possible.
You just have to add the trailing path in the custom domain box.
Check domain Migration status
If the migration takes longer than 48 hours, you may need to reach out to your domain team, the subdomain may not exist for example.
You can check your migration status here: DNS Checker - DNS Check Propagation Tool
