Automatically receiving a notification whenever feedback comes through is a useful way to keep track of your feedback in real-time. Customise the feedback you receive a notification for so the right person can take action.

Create automated Alerts

Setup a Segment

Actions → Segments → New Segment

In order to create an automated alert, you need to create a segment. Segments are saved searches with filters to see only the feedback you want to see.

  • Add a name and select the feedback you’d like to be notified for by using the filters.

  • Once you’ve added your filters, hit save.

Make sure you confirm your filter by clicking the ‘validate’ tickbox.

Create email alerts

Actions → Automations→ Add Segment → Notification & Auto-Assignment → Manage users

Select the segment you’d like to receive an email alert for, then select ‘Manage users’.

Subscribe to the type of alert you wish the user on Feedier to have.

Attach a live report to email notifications

Actions → Automations→ Add Segment → Manage users → Send live report

If you have an existing PDF Report you can attach this report to a weekly or monthly summary email.

Weekly or Monthly alerts must be subscribed to in order for you to select the send live report option

Receiving the email notification

If ‘send email’ is chosen for example, the user will receive a real-time alert with all the attribute information and a link to see the feedback on Feedier.

Email alerts can be set to real-time, daily, weekly, or monthly.

Setup Slack or Microsoft Team notifications

Actions → Automations→ Add Segment → Integrations → Slack message/Teams message

Choose a channel you’d like to notify for feedback that comes in so teams are alerted of specific feedback in real-time.

  • Click ‘Connect’ and login to your respective account.

  • Select the channel you’d like to receive the alerts in.


    After giving permissions, you’ll receive a message in the chosen channel that the integration has been successful.

Adding to existing automations

If you have automations setup already, scroll down to the bottom to add a new segment.

If you wish to add to an existing automatisation, select the '+' icon after the last automation.

Manually alert a user to feedback

Feedback page→ Feedback card → Add Owner icon

If you need a user in your team to receive an alert of feedback that’s come in, you can select ‘Add owner’.
The user will then receive an email notification immediately to view the feedback.
